I Have Returned!

As much as you may have hoped, I did not fall off the face of the earth.  I lost my connection to the internet from 1 PM yesterday until almost 2 PM today.  I heard that a construction crew hit/cut  a fiber optic internet cable and most of the neighborhood went down.  Wow, I thought people were pissed when they couldn't find toilet paper... take their internet away and holy shit, all hell breaks loose!  The postings on the neighborhood Face Book page were hilarious!  BTW - I was just as upset about the outage, but I didn't get online and bitch about it like an insane crazy person!

Luckily, I did have my phone so I was able to keep up with what was going out outside in "quarantine world", but I hate typing on my phone so entries to this wonderful blog had to wait.  Don't worry, you didn't miss much that occurred in my world.  Prior to being shut off from the world for 24 hours, I wasn't doing much of anything work related anyway.  Once the internet blackout hit, rest assured I did even less!

I missed a Zoom conference call (oh, darn), but The Boss was kind enough to patch me in via phone so I could hear all of the goings on.  Tomorrow I am meeting the warehouse staff at the Hobbes Street building so they can get their space adjusted.  According to The Boss we might be going back to work (all together) soon.

I would like to say a couple of things about how much I need/want and require internet service.  Without internet, I couldn't binge watch anything (no, I am not watching TV on my damn phone) and I couldn't stream music throughout my abode like I am accustomed.  I didn't realize until I didn't have it for over 24 hours how much I love internet and I feel I may have been taking it for granted!  Thank you internet, I don't know I would survive being stuck at home for this long without you in my life!

For those of you wondering how Cooper and Milo survived without internet - they did just fine. They are so adaptable to adversity.  They were able to keep their normal nap and feeding schedule and isn't that what is most important?

Tonight I am looking forward to watching a Parks and Recreation Quarantine special.  If you haven't seen the show, I encourage you to watch the past seasons sometime - it is excellent!

Until next time Nutties!
